Interviews with and permission to take photographs of patients at PMH facilities will only be granted with written consent from the patient or legal representative. In accordance with various privacy act regulations or legislation, updates on patient conditions may be provided to media if the patient or their designated representative has given authorization. PMH’s first priority is delivering excellent medical care and respecting the patient’s and their family’s wishes with respect to privacy.
A member of the department or designate must accompany news media at all times while in PMH facilities.
The Communications Team uses a multi-media strategy to reach the public, staff, health partners and stakeholders through their preferred method of receiving information. We make sure this information is delivered through various channels such as our website, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, digital signage, print, radio, television or through advertising.
