Part-Time and Full-Time Positions Available
The fully accredited Brandon Regional Health Centre is accepting applications for Emergency Department Physicians. Brandon Regional Health Centre has 300+ beds and receives about 29,000+ emergency visits per year with greater than 60% being CTAS 1-3. BRHC works in conjunction with the provincial trauma service providing much of the trauma care to Western Manitoba. There are also teaching opportunities if this is of interest to the applicant, as Brandon hosts a University of Manitoba, Rady Faculty of Health Sciences, Brandon satellite campus for various clinical clerk positions and resident training positions.
Remuneration/Hours
In accordance with the Manitoba Health/Doctors Manitoba Agreement ($253.02 -$444.32/hour depending on the shift)
- A 1.00 EFT position consists of ~1400 hours per year
- A 0.75 EFT position consists of ~1050 hours per year
- A 0.50 EFT position consists of ~700 hours per year
Required qualifications
- Medical Degree, CCFP (or equivalent), FRCPC or CCFP (EM) – (EM must be obtained within 4 years of start date)
- Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
- ATLS, ACLS, PALS, Airway course
- Procedural sedation (must be obtained within 6 months of start date)
- Point of Care Ultrasound (within 2 years of start date)

Our facility operates 3 endoscopy rooms, with a fleet of 45 scopes and offers a high level of service to the Region. Our on-site diagnostic services include radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI and nuclear medicine. There is a wide range of specialist services available onsite including pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, anesthesia, general surgery, radiology, nuclear medicine, oncology, orthopedic surgery, urology and internal medicine.
Brandon Regional Health Centre is a satellite campus for the University of Manitoba and the Rady Faulty of Medicine and offers the opportunity to contribute to the teaching/mentoring of medical learners.
The ideal candidate should have excellent skills in interventional gastroenterology and the ability to perform minimally invasive procedures to diagnose and treat gastrointestinal disorders. The ideal candidate must be able to perform interventional endoscopies including but not limited to Endoscopic Mucosal Resection (EMR), endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP), and other advanced therapeutic procedures. Additional training and fellowship in therapeutic endoscopy preferred Management of inflammatory bowel disease is desired. Qualified PRA candidates are encouraged to apply, provided they meet eligibility requirements.
Remuneration/Hours
Remuneration is derived from fee-for-service billing as per the current Manitoba physicians’ manual negotiated in the Master Agreement between the Minister of Health, Seniors and Active Living and Doctors Manitoba, and will be dependent on the volume of services provided.

The clinic will also connect clients to health care providers and services, internal and external to PMH programs (e.g. Social Work, Chronic Disease Education Program, Mental Health, Addictions Services and Therapy Services, etc.).

Pediatrician – Brandon
The Department of Pediatrics in Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a full-time General Pediatrician to be located in Brandon, Manitoba. Brandon currently has two community-based pediatricians and three itinerant pediatricians who provide full hospital services 24/7.
We seek a candidate who will combine office-based pediatric practice with hospital practice, including NICU, inpatient care and emergency consultation services. The successful candidate will also share the on-call rota in the hospital.

We also provide 24/7 hospitalist services as well as 24/7 internal medicine services. We have a full-service Emergency Department with a full complement of ER physicians 24/7.

With a population of just under 10,000, Dauphin is the second largest city within our Region and is located a few short miles North of the Riding Mountain National Park. The successful candidate will be responsible for continuing, comprehensive Psychiatric care to inpatients at the Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC) and for providing support to the Community Mental Health services within the Region. The Dauphin Regional Health Centre is an accredited Acute Care facility with an general adult psychiatric ward with 10 designated psychiatry beds. Dauphin shares in servicing a large geographical area (67,000 sw kms) in Prairie Mountain Health and is a referral hub for communities in the Northern half of Prairie Mountain Health Region.
You will be a valued member of an interdisciplinary team within the Prairie Mountain Health Region working with community mental health providers and Family Physicians. The Psychiatrist will provide admission, examination, assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge management of patients requiring psychiatric care at the DRHC.
In addition to providing 1885 hours/annually (7.25 hrs/daily), the successful candidate will share equally in the Psychiatry on-call roster with other members of the mental health team. Leadership and teaching opportunities are available and encouraged.

Prairie Mountain Health is recruiting two (2) skilled & ambitious Urologists to join our healthcare team in Brandon, Manitoba.
As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for examining, diagnosing, and treating urologic disorders, including surgical procedures, ordering diagnostic tests, and consulting with and providing urologic expertise to other physicians/ healthcare providers as required.
Brandon Regional Health Centre has 309 beds, which includes 10 ICU beds. Brandon Regional Health Centre Diagnostic Services include radiology, ultrasound, CT, and MRI. A wide range of specialist services available onsite include pediatrics, obstetrics & gynecology, anesthesia, general surgery, radiology, nuclear medicine, oncology, orthopedic surgery, and internal medicine.
Applicants will be able to join one of the various clinics throughout the city. All private clinics will have a competitive overhead rate. There are also multiple teaching opportunities if this interests the applicant. Brandon hosts a University of Manitoba satellite campus for clinical clerk positions and resident training through the CaRMS match. The successful candidate(s) will have the opportunity for an appointment at the University of Manitoba.

Remuneration

The income is derived from all sources during the regular working day and does not include medical services provided after hours, weekends, or holidays.
On-call stipends are paid separately per the Doctors Manitoba negotiated rates. For 24-hour off-site on-call, the current rate is $597.43. As a Fee-for-service Physician, you can bill fee-for-service while on-call.
