Grandview PCH Celebrates 50th Anniversary
It was smiles all around at the Grandview Personal Care Home (PCH) 50th anniversary May 6. PCH manager Aaron Miner and Activities/Recreation Coordinator Jackie Plawicki welcomed care home residents, staff, volunteers and PMH officials to celebrate in the milestone event.
Local band volunteers entertained and photos and memories throughout the years were shared.
The Care Home opened in 1975. At the time , it cost an estimated half a million dollars to build.
PMH CEO Treena Slate thanked all the staff and volunteers past and present for providing quality and compassionate care. She also thanked the community and surrounding area for their continued support.

Many memories were shared as the 50th Anniversary of Grandview PCH took place May 6. It was noted the sod turning was held in 1973, and Premier at that time, Ed Schreyer, attended official public opening ceremonies as part of the community of Grandview’s 75th Birthday celebrations.
