Renovations to the Roblin District Health Centre kitchen are now complete. The project started on June 28th with the relocation of the hospital kitchen over to the Community Centre. Initially, the project was approved to replace worn out sheet vinyl flooring that was part of the original kitchen construction.
While the kitchen area was out of service, the project expanded to replace existing lighting, improve some plumbing and refresh it with new paint. The Roblin Health Centre kitchen renovation project is funded by the Manitoba Government through the Health Department’s Safety & Security program.
During renovations, a temporary kitchen was operating at Roblin’s Community Centre. Dietary staff Josie Jury and Julie Eys were part of the staffing complement that had been cooking up a storm in the temporary kitchen.
Kitchen operations were transitioning to be back on site at Roblin Health Centre during the first week of September.
