Community PLAY Network
Physical literacy empowers children and youth to move with confidence and skill, fostering lifelong health, resilience and opportunities to thrive in all aspects of life.
What is the Network?
The Community PLAY (Physical Literacy and Youth) Network is a collaborative network of diverse organizations and professionals united by a shared commitment to promoting physical literacy in Prairie Mountain Health communities. By bringing together expertise from sectors such as health, education, sport, recreation and community development, we aim to inspire individuals of all ages and abilities to move with confidence, competence and joy in various physical activities. Together, we foster environments where everyone can develop lifelong skills for active, healthy living.
Why is the Network important?
Having a community physical literacy network is essential for creating a unified approach to promoting active, healthy lifestyles in our communities. By sharing information, collaborating across sectors, and developing resources and opportunities, we amplify our collective impact and ensure that individuals of all ages have the support they need to embrace movement and physical activity in their daily lives.
