Recruitment is in the spring air as new graduates from various programs are beginning their search for career opportunities. Prairie Mountain Health takes no exception to the excitement during this time of year, as we work towards filling nursing positions throughout the Region. To date, twenty four Registered Nurse positions and twenty one Licensed Practical Nurse positions have been filled. The new graduates have completed their studies from the Brandon University Bachelor of Nursing Program and Assiniboine Community College’s Diploma of Practical Nursing Program – Brandon & Dauphin campuses. The Region is continually filling Health Care Aide positions as new graduates complete their programming, with many more opportunities awaiting.
Another success has been the hiring of 10 with the potential of up to 15 students into the Home for the Summer Program. This annual program, in partnership with the MB Health Care Providers Network, allows post-secondary students meaningful summer employment while fulfilling project driven work in the Region. This year students will be employed in the Mental Health Program, Health Promotion, Health Information Services, Therapy Services, and Respiratory Therapy Services.
Career opportunities are endless in health care, come be part of the team, apply today!
