Through this Lean initiative, the project team identified opportunities for efficiencies by assessing supply ordering patterns and variances in inventories throughout the region. Savings of $700,000 were achieved in the Prairie Mountain Health region’s acute and long term care facilities, while maintaining patient safety and standards of care.
