Patient safety is our priority and as a result of the flooding, the Dauphin Regional Health Centre, including the emergency department (ED) is closed until further notice.

Options for Medical Care

Call 911 if you are experiencing an emergent or urgent medical concern. EMS (ambulance services) will respond and transport you to the nearest open emergency department.
The Ste Rose Hospital Emergency Department is open 24/7.

The Grandview Emergency Department is open 7 days a week – please check schedule here to confirm hours.

The Dauphin Walk-in Clinic operated by the Dauphin Medical Clinic and located in the Dauphin Clinic Pharmacy is also open to the public. Hours of operation can be found here.
An Assessment Clinic is now open in the Dauphin Community Health Services (CHS) building, connected to the south side of the hospital. This clinic is equipped to provide basic assessment and care only. Hours of operation are 24 hours a day /7 days a week. Enter through main doors of CHS building.
For non-urgent matters, we encourage Dauphin and area residents to call Health Links at 1-888-315-9257. Health Links / Info Santé provides 24 hour, 7 days a week, telephone information service by Registered Nurses and Doctors with the knowledge to provide answers over the phone and guide you to the care you need. Health Links / Info Santé has a Primary Care Physician available for virtual assessments every day from 8 am until midnight.
Maternity / delivery services are available at Brandon and Neepawa Health Centres.

Continuing care for patients is a priority for us. Please see below for detailed information on what to expect for your care.

Cancer Care

All cancer care services previously provided at the CancerCare Clinic in the hospital have moved to new locations, some within Dauphin, and some in other communities.

We understand this may be stressful and inconvenient. Please know that CancerCare Manitoba and Prairie Mountain Health are working together to make sure you continue to receive the care you need as safely as possible.

All patients will be contacted directly with instructions on their continuing care. Physician appointment with Family physicians in Oncology will continue to occur locally. Treatments will be arranged at other Community Cancer programs within Prairie Mountain Health. Read more information here.

Diagnostic Services

All X-ray, Ultrasound, CT, MRI and Lab services will be offered at other locations in PMH. Patients who had scheduled appointments will be contacted directly with more information prior to their appointment.

PMH along with Shared Health partners in Lab and Diagnostics services are committed and working diligently to reestablish services in Dauphin as soon as possible.

Laboratory Services

For Lab services such as blood or urine collection, you can attend a different Shared Health Diagnostic Services location. All locations can be found here: Diagnostic Services locations – Shared Health

Maternity (Obstetrics)

Physicians will be contacting their patients directly with more information.

Maternity / delivery services are available at the Neepawa & Brandon Health Centres.

Kidney Care (Dialysis)

All patients will be contacted directly with more information. Services are being provided at other Dialysis sites in the region / province.

Surgery & Endoscopy

All patients will be contacted directly with more information. Surgical services continue to be offered at other PMH locations including Swan River, Minnedosa, Neepawa and Brandon – depending on the type of surgery or procedure.

Community Health Services (including Public Health, Mental Health & Addictions, Home Care, Primary Care Outreach Centre)

The Community Health Services building (adjacent to DRHC) remains open and continues to provide regular services. If there are any changes to planned appointments, your provider will contact you. To connect with these services, please call 204-638-2118.

Patient Relocation Information

Prairie Mountain Health and Shared Health have successfully coordinated the evacuation of 54 patients from Dauphin Regional Health Centre (DRHC). All patients arrived safely at their destinations early Thursday morning, less than 24 hours after evacuation was initiated.

Anyone seeking information about their loved ones who have been relocated are asked to call the Patient Information Line operated by Health Links at: 1-888-315-9257.

We thank families for their patience and understanding during this challenging time and wish to ensure them that every possible measure is being taken to ensure the safety, comfort, and well-being of their loved ones.

The Dauphin and St. Paul’s Personal Care Homes have not been impacted at this time.
