Brandon is a thriving city with a population of over 48,000, located 200 km west of Winnipeg on the TransCanada Highway. It is large enough to supply all the retail, medical, educational and cultural needs on a daily basis and small enough to avoid high costs of living and long commutes to the workplace. Brandon University has an excellent reputation in music, general arts and science programs. Assiniboine Community College provides a wide range and expanding list of education options. Scenic Riding Mountain National Park is one hour north of the city, and the Peace Gardens are situated on the Manitoba/North Dakota border just over an hour to the south. There are numerous other recreational areas in Western Manitoba. Dubbed “The Host City”, Brandon’s enthusiastic volunteer base lands many provincial, national and international events. The “Wheat City” is a vibrant community in which to live, work and play. Large enough to have all the amenities of city life but small enough that you can drive to work in minutes.
