- Fellowship from the Royal College of Canada.
- Current Licensure or eligible for full licence with the College of Physician and Surgeons of Manitoba.
Prairie Mountain Health is currently recruiting an Anesthesiologist to the city of Brandon. Brandon Regional Health Centre is the region’s primary referral centre, serving a population in excess of 150,000 residents. The 313-bed Regional Health Centre has 56 Surgical Beds, 6 Operating Rooms and 1 Minor Surgery Procedure Room. Our diagnostic Services include radiology, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and nuclear medicine. The successful candidate will provide anesthetic care throughout the surgical and obstetric programs, including supervision and teaching of students and residents. On-call services will be provided in rotation.
This individual should be a team player, be able to interact effectively with patients, colleagues, staff and management, and function well in a high volume environment with a commitment to provision of high quality patient and family centered care.
Brandon is a thriving city with a population of over 55,000, located 200 km west of Winnipeg on the TransCanada Highway. It is large enough to supply all the retail, medical, educational and cultural needs on a daily basis and small enough to avoid high costs of living and travel problems. Brandon University has a significant reputation in music, general arts and science programs. Assiniboine Community College provides a wide range of education options. Riding Mountain National Park is one hour north of the city, and the Peace Gardens are situated on the Manitoba/North Dakota border just over an hour to the south.
