Brandon is a thriving city with a population of over 55,000, located 200 km west of Winnipeg on the TransCanada Highway. It is large enough to supply all the retail, medical, educational and cultural needs on a daily basis and small enough to avoid high costs of living and travel problems.  Brandon University has a significant reputation in music, general arts and science programs. Assiniboine Community College provides a wide range of education options. Riding Mountain National Park is one hour north of the city, and the Peace Gardens are situated on the Manitoba/North Dakota border just over an hour to the south.  There are numerous other recreational areas in Western Manitoba.  Dubbed “The Host City”, Brandon’s enthusiastic volunteer base land many provincial, national and international events.  The “Wheat City” is a vibrant community in which to live, work and play.
